Guys I have a 68 Camaro with a 327-275 hp that seems to have a lot power and has been built a little,My ? is I had the engine out of the car for a couple years while I restored the body. The engine was in the car when I bought it and I have no idea what is in the engine. I had the engine on a stand with the intake off and the timing cover and water pump off so i could replace the oil pan and the rear seal on the crank.Well while I had tha oil pan off I noticed that there were spots of rust on some places of the block, main bolt heads, rod bolt heads and some other places inside the engine where it had set for a couple years without being run.Like I said I don't know what is in the engine except that it has a pretty big cam, weiand Intake ,Edlebrock 600 Carb.Mallory Dist, wires ,coil Headers,350 turbo,8-5'' Rear with 342 Posi.I dont Know what kind of heads are on it.The engine holds about 60 lbs of oil pressure just above idle,it had been running pretty good until the other day it started missing like it had a dead plug in it or something,so I pulled the plugs out and the #6 plug gap was completley closed with rust and oil,I put another plug in it and it ran fine,I drove the car probly 50 to 100 miles and it did the same thing on the same plug but this time it did not have as much rust on it.Does that sound like a bad ring,a bad valve giude,a bad valve seal or what any help would bee appreciated,,,PS I have a set of 186 heads with 194 valves would this be a good swap considering the other heads are newer smog heads with 194 valves Thanks Camaro BOB
