Help I have a 67 rag top RS my lift arms have broken when the hydro top was used. I have been told that there is a diffrence between a power top lift arm and a manual one is this true??? or do I have problems someone else on the top. this was a ground up resto 4 years ago. just put in the power unit this summer. many hours banging my head over this one.

Yes, they are different. Theres no attaching points on the manual top for a lift cyl.(If I remember correctly)

I don't know if they are different, I have (not on a car) 2 conv tops that I took off the cars myself, one power, one not. I cannot see a diff, (did not look real close or do any measurments) The nonpower one has a set of springs that attach were the lift cyl goes. anyone else?

Just a suggestion, there is a shop in Florida named Hydro-E-Lectric I believe. They advertise in every Hemmings. Look in the Camaro Parts section in alphabetical order starting "convertible." I have ordered convertible stuff from them on several occaisions and feel they REALLY know thier stuff. They sell the lift pistons and the hoses and I'm sure could tell you what application you need. There stuff has been very high quality also.
