Has anyone had experience mounting rear speakers using the convertible rear speaker housings sold in Rick's?

My questions are:

1) How difficult are these to install? Do you have to remove the top or do you remove the rear seat to mount?

2) Is it worth the hassle to install? How good/bad is the sound quality with the top down?

3) I've seen other discussions as to different methods of installing rear speakers in convertibles...which is ideal/most popular? Your thoughts??

I have used those on my 67. I had to take the seat back out and the trim that holds the well liner. If you move the well liner back there is enough room to work but it's not much fun. The top need to be up so its out of the way and you kind of have to use your imagination a little when installing them. I did manage to get a pair of Pioneer 6X9 speakers in there. Probably took me two days! Sounds good with the top up, does almost nothing with the top down.

Thanks for the quick replies. Since I live in Southern California and drive almost exclusively with the top down...I should probably avoid these since the sound quality seems poor at best with the top down.
