Hi, Im very active on the Chevelle site, but not as much here. But I have an 88 IROC with the 350. Someone did some wiring changes on this car before I bought it, so that may be a problem of sorts, but recently the car started boiling over. Only happened in city driving or traffic, it was fine on the highway. So, I found that the fans weren't coming on. I checked the relay (just behind the battery on the fender edge) and found that although it clicked when you applied power to it, it wasnt sending power to the fans, so I replaced it. Now I find that it sends power to the fans when you energize it, so it's working good. But the fans still dont turn on when the temp goes up to about 220. What's the next step? The temp sensor I assume? This computer controlled stuff is a pain to me, give me the older stuff any day!! Anyway, there is the regular temp. sender in the front of the intake (this is a TPI), and right next to it is a smaller sender. Is this the one that sends a signal to the computer? And is this a common item to fail? Im not even sure Im looking at the right area to fix. Does this sound like Im on the right trail? Thanks guys, John
