Hi, I'm a new member needing some information....

I have owned my 69 RS camaro since 1982 and have advertised it for sale. How can I offer securance to a potential buyer that the car is an actual RS model and not a clone camaro. The fire wall "Body by Fisher" identifies the following:

ST 69 12437 LOS176244 BDY
TR 711 72B Paint
11B JO58

Can these numbers signify the RS model?

Another question, how do I find the 69 Factor Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) RPOZ22B6 Pg 462 for Vacuum headlamp assembly and repair instructions?? Thank You, Candi

Candi,
Welcome to TC!!

The cowl tag numbers will not tell you that it was originally an RS. If you are lucky enough to find the chassis broadcast copy on top of your gas tank that will prove it.

There are indicators that you can find under the search function here as far as factory RS procedures. Type in something like "original RS" or something like that and hit search. Still not proof but information on what an original RS would have. One of the big ones is the wiper motor and headlight washer solenoid.

Your car was built in Van Nuys, second week in November, '68. Standard black interior with orange paint and a black vinyl top.

You can purchase an AIM manual on ebay and other places.

Candi, please stick to one section to post a question. Multiple postings are against the rules, it makes it hard for folks to find the one they replied too. The one I moved to TAG section is your best place for your question to be followed. Thanks for understanding.
