Anybody see this on Ebay?

How does the VIN correspond with BDY number, and looks like the build date is 02D, was this later than NOR cars started production? Not going to buy it, just wondering.

Interesting car, with an 02D build date and the trim tag looks to me like it says it was built in Baltimore (BL)? What gives?

Is it me or does the VIN tag in the dash look shifted? Anyone who has a 2nd gen car take a look at your VIN tag and see if the gaps are the same around it? It may be alright, but looks fishy to me.

Hmmm.....does any second gen owner know if they stamp the partial vin into the body like they do on first gen cars ? This should clinch it. Could take the gamble & buy it and if it turns out to be a fake then sue for false advertising...if it is real then restore it and watch it rise in value.

BL is not a Baltimore plant code, its for Los Angeles GMAD, used on all 70 up Camaro's and Chevelle's..

That car was on ebay awhile ago and it wasnt in the condition it is in now. It was a plain jane that needed alot of work. Thats what I recall from memory. It has been on ebay twice over the past 2 years.

The partial VIN is undr the heater box and on the cowl.

I know some of you can decipher the VIN vs BDY number on 1st gens, and thoughts on second gens, and this car in particular?

There was some discussion about this car at nastyz28 and that the first run of 70's were sent to Smoky Yunick, but then someone else said those were NOR cars?

Any other info out there?

I have pics of that car from last time it was on ebay I will have to find them and see how differnt they are but I also remember it .
