I guess no one looking at the Electrical forum could answqer this one so maybe some one here?
Have had hard time finding correct cancel cam for my 67 with dlux wheel and tilt. The one that came out has a GM p/n 3900512 stamped on it. I ordered a replacement from Rick's that came in GM box labeled 399294 but, the part inside is stamped 399297. Does not fit. I believe the "flange" for the steering wheel spring should be at the bottom of the cam or farthest away from the wheel. The replacement I was sent from Rick's has the "flange" at the top or near the wheel. The service manual decribes the install as ...cancel cam then spring... Having the flange at the top does not allow the cam to go on before the spring. Anyone know what the correct part number is and where I can get one? Thanks.
