Fake.

Phoney tags were being made as early as 1983.
They started making them to fool 63-67 Corvette guys.
Mostly to change colors and interior trim ect.

It has gone WAY out of hand. :eek:

If that tag has been on the car for 20 years,
there is a very good posibility that someone only wanted to change the color.

Way back then the cars were not so valuable. But everyone still wanted a black car with B/W houndstooth.
