Has anybody ever seen a 69 z trim tag say z28 on it??this guy has a 69z that he might be selling.and it says z28 on the trim tag.and he says he has all the docs to prove it thanks mike.

That only exists on a fake tag.

NOR 70 Zs (Maybe LA cars too, not sure) would have that, but not 69s.

LA built cars did not say Z28 or even have a code to indicate it was on the early 2nd gens ... definately not on the 1st gens

Jim the angle Jonesy mentioned was the body sequence code on the 69 camaro "might" or "could" have been Z285 or similar number since they were used in LA cars only. Ive seen Txxx codes and somewhere I recall at Uxxx but not sure they went as high as Zxxx but possible?

That reminds me of a friends Protecto plate which read: COPO6

Turns out it was a Cleveland Made Powerglide transmission, built October 6th.
Thought it was a special kind of a cool thing, then was a letdown.

The LA plant did have body sequence codes in the Z range. I didnt say they had Z28 on them. It MAY be possible that the code on this car just by chance happens to be Z281 or something and they think its a Z28.

Thats what I meant. There was a guy with X331 or something and swore that his LA car was a z28 and said the 1 was a typo.
