Gary L Jun 13th, 06, 09:01 PM That only exists on a fake tag. 69 ss hugger Jun 13th, 06, 09:09 PM Thats what I was thinking thanks mike Jonesy Jun 13th, 06, 09:11 PM Unless it is an LA car and the body sequence code starts with Z28X RamAirDave Jun 13th, 06, 09:13 PM NOR 70 Zs (Maybe LA cars too, not sure) would have that, but not 69s. dave al8apexer Jun 14th, 06, 07:29 AM LA built cars did not say Z28 or even have a code to indicate it was on the early 2nd gens ... definately not on the 1st gens click Jun 14th, 06, 09:26 AM Jim the angle Jonesy mentioned was the body sequence code on the 69 camaro "might" or "could" have been Z285 or similar number since they were used in LA cars only. Ive seen Txxx codes and somewhere I recall at Uxxx but not sure they went as high as Zxxx but possible? Pacecarjeff Jun 14th, 06, 10:46 AM That reminds me of a friends Protecto plate which read: COPO6 Turns out it was a Cleveland Made Powerglide transmission, built October 6th. Thought it was a special kind of a cool thing, then was a letdown. Too bad---- Kurt S. solved the mystery. Pretty funny to say the least. (not for the friend) click Jun 14th, 06, 11:48 AM thats cool :) Jonesy Jun 14th, 06, 11:57 AM The LA plant did have body sequence codes in the Z range. I didnt say they had Z28 on them. It MAY be possible that the code on this car just by chance happens to be Z281 or something and they think its a Z28. Thats what I meant. There was a guy with X331 or something and swore that his LA car was a z28 and said the 1 was a typo. 69 ss hugger Jun 14th, 06, 05:00 PM Thanks to all for the info.mike. elcamino Jun 14th, 06, 06:52 PM The LA plant did have body sequence codes in the Z range. Sure they did....I have seen a few... Gary L Jun 14th, 06, 07:59 PM Unless it is an LA car and the body sequence code starts with Z28X Agreed that would be the exception.:beers: 69 merlinpro565 Jun 14th, 06, 10:01 PM My LA car Is X201...note quite a z though....but an SS... |
