Sounds like a worn out engine. Might be time for a valve job and maybe a short-block rebuild.

Does she spray for bugs?...(smokey exhaust?)

There's a chance oil is getting by your intake gaskets, but I'd suspect it's an older engine ready for a going through.

white = rings

I don't have any idea what a "charge" end is. Are you talking the electrode end that goes into the engine or the end your plug wires snap on ? Also what engine are you working on ? It could just be valve cover gaskets leaking onto the plugs. Need more info. and better terminology please.

Guido, I'm curious why you said that white smoke relates to worn rings. Bad rings allow oil into the combustion (just like the valve guides), which it turn makes blue smoke. The key is that valve guides allow oil to burn due to high vacuum and high oil pressure (deacceleration) while the rings allow oil burn under power. Just curious.

Don't forget, if it's pink smoke, you have a genie in there.

Valve job and shortblock rebuild will run $1500 for a bench job (you take the engine out of the car and take it in),..that estimate only includes the basics and assumes everything you have useable. The price for a rebuild can vary widely as can the quality of work so, call and ask around.

Good luck!

For about $1300.00 you can get a brand new 350 cid GM crate engine with a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. :thumbsup:

well i really dont have to worry about someone else doing the rebuild considering my brother graduates wyo-tech soon and a friend of my dads is a master mechanic that works on my stuff for the best price ever. i was talking with what i have to buy
