Can anyone help, I've looked on CRG but can't find how to decode the date, The carburator number is 7027213 DY G363

Dave, this is what I believe is true:

70 = Rochester carbs started with either 70 (before 1976) or 170 (after 1976).
27 = 1967
2 = Means it was designed for 49 States if it was a 5 then it would be for Cali cars and high altitude
1= Chevy
3= or any odd number means it was an Auto tranny application

Thanks for the reply, is there numbers as far as build date like june july etc.

The date code on quadrajets is stamped into the base of the carburetor on the throttle lever side near the back bolt hole. A four digit date code identifies the day and year the carburetor was assembled. The first three numbers are the day of the year (ex. 043 = 43rd day, 251 = 251st day). The fourth digit is the last digit of the assembly year. The decade is not specified but can be decoded as posted before (pre 76 started with 70, after 76 started with 170).
