i just installed a 1" phenolic 4 hole spacer on my edelbrock 1806 carb. when the engine is warm, after driving the idle rpm stays at 1000. i want it to be 750 or so. i disengaged the idle speed circuit to see if it was jamming. same problem. since i added the spacer do i need to put different jets or any other adjustments?
thanks

Can you adjust the idle speed back down with the idle speed screw?
Do you need to adjust (lengthen) the throttle rod?
Are you certain you didn't come up with a vacaum leak?

The spacer won't dramatically affect your idle speed, something else is going on.

i can adjust the idle speed with the screw, the problem is that when i start the car cold, the idle is way too low and causes the car to stumble. the lever doesnt need to be lengthened, but i am noticing that my valves are sounding alot louder than usual you know the clack clack sound
i don't know but thanks for helping me out
