Today i ran across someone selling a 69 rs x33, car was redone a few years ago (everything is perfect) has all the goodies ie hidaways,4sp,tach,console w/gauges, 12 bolt, ac, deluxe interior, pw, car is black looks real nice however heres the kicker its a sb 350 create motor so its non numbers matching everything works on this car so whats a car like this worth? 20k 25k 30k maybe 35k? if i can get it for 22500 is it a steal? I am looking at maybe buying it just to turn it in a few months and make a little cash.

Your bid of between $22500-$25K sounds right, provided all of the other stuff matches. A date correct DZ 302 is going to run between $8-$10K alone, depending on the stuff you need to complete (correct dist., water pump,balancer,intake,DZ carb, etc. -ask me how I know :)...

If the car is solid and does not need paint, $22500 is probably really fair.

AC is wrong for a real X33 Z28 so check that again to see if it is original because the car could be a tag swap. What't the VIN and trim tag information to verify it looks correct?

Doh! Did not see the "ac" at first, but you are correct. If the car has factory ac, it cannot be a real X33 car.

ok, maybe I felt those that appraise cars for a living need to make money too, just seemed like a cheap shot to ask all the experts for the value to help you make money. I always have to make my own judgements when I buy a car, but then I research what i am doing before I do it without asking others what they think

Last time I asked someone whether I should buy a car or not they went and bought it out from under me, i learned my lesson 30 years ago.

I wasnt really asking if i should buy it or not but more in the line of do you think 22500 is a fair price or low ball price..

IF it's real and in decent condition thats a way fair price.
