: Anyone making a reproduction dash?

I am considering the purchase of a '69 Camaro. For whatever reason, the previous owner decided to cut the dash in half so now the passenger side is missing. I have seen reproductions of the upper dash panel but never the whole dash.

Does anyone make one or do I have to find a parts car?

Thanks!

Hey texas67ss,

I am looking for the drivers side of the dash for a 69 convert. restoration. If you would like to sell your section and it is in good condition, please let me know. I need from the d-side windshield pillar to just over halfway across. It doesn't make sense for me to purchase the entire dash and cut it apart. Thanks in advance.

Keep an eye on Ebay. That's where I bought my 68 dash. Paid $200.00 shipped for an original uncut dash. Top and front.

To add a little more to the topic, no one makes a reproduction of the lower part of the dash. The only answer is to look on e-bay, Hemmings Motor News, Ground Up, and some other retailers that have parts cars. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to find a donor car in a bone yard somewhere. I know where there is one in Missouri but that is a little far from you. Good Luck

Once in a while a complete junker shell is up for auction on Ebay real cheap. But you'd run into the same problem 69X11SS just mentioned.... might be too far away to be worth it.

Isn't there someone that pops in here once in a while that cuts cars up and sells the parts as a business? I might be way off base but isn't it http://www.billscamaros.com/ ? If not, I apologize!

Try talking to Jim also at www.camaro1.com (http://www.camaro1.com)

He has several parts cars laying around as well. Oh yeah, he's in Ohio. Good luck.

texas67ss I know of two '69 shells here in the Austin area that might have usable dash parts. Both are at Hwy 71 East Auto Salvage. Kind of far from you but they are there and I guarantee they wont be going anywhere anytime soon.
