Is it that easy to adjust the cable by holding wot and pushing the botton on said cable? It just sounds to easy!

Assuming your linkage is right, yes that's all that is too it.

It's very impoortant that the linkage ratio is correct. At idle, the cable must be all the way in but with no slop, and at WOT it must be all the way out.
