Do a search on Bellhousing Dialin or alignment. Most vendors provide you with installation notes and tips. JimM Jun 17th, 06, 03:20 PM Make damn sure you have the right throwout bearing, chevy short, the best ones are marked BCA fatrat96 Jun 18th, 06, 08:18 AM installed a t - 56 into my 1967... fit like aglove.. go with the mechanical clutch linkage.. it is riot to drive. enjoy Hurst - Jeff Jun 18th, 06, 05:01 PM 1) Read through the entire instruction packet provided in the kit before you start your install. 2) Test fit as many parts as possible before you start (ie clutch disc on input shaft, etc.) 3) Check all threads and bolts. 4) Make sure your clutch fork angle is correct - refer to the instructions. 5) Keep our phone number with you during the install if you have any questions: 760-438-2244. Also Jeffmort I`m going to keep a phone real close. LukeSkywalker Jun 19th, 06, 08:39 AM If you are running a stroker engine, ie: make sure they sent you the correct fly wheel. They sent me one for a 350 not a 400 with the counter balance. We caught this in the nick of time. Hurst - Jeff Jun 19th, 06, 01:02 PM Luke- Glad we caught the flywheel situation for your car. Actually, a flywheel for a 383 can be internally or externally balanced depending on which crank is used. It is always a good idea to check out all of your parts before you get started (as you did) to make sure you have the right stuff - especially the flywheel. |
