hello everyone, i have started redoing my heating and defrosting ducts and have found my rubber ducting from cowl to astro air vents are dry rotted and cant make them work. has anyone ran into this and if so how did you fix it. are these pieces in reproduction or dose anyone know someone who may have older ones for sale. thanks ron

thanks for the respones. called ricks they dont have ,looked at firewheel web catalog and did not find. this rubber accordin stly duct is the one that connects cowlarea to astro air vent. my car is 68 w/o air . any help on finding would be great ron

Try a NAPA or another real auto parts store. Bring in a piece of the old one to fit the inside diameter. They carrry a hose, usually made by Gates, that will work nicely.

I got mine in a seal kit for the Astro Ventilation at NPD. Came with hoses and all seals as well as the cushy fiber thingys for the chrome vents.

It's just a 3" black dryer hose. Note that most dryers use 4" hose, so it's not that easy to find. I bought a length of it from D&R (I think) years ago, I got a 6 or 8 foot length in the box, and ended up using about 12" of it. Don't know where the rest of it went though.
