I have purchased new floor pans for my 68. The driver side seat mount plate is horrible. The fixed nuts are gone and the seat was bolted thru the floor pan. Does anybody know of anywhere that sells these? Or at least, the best way to repair? I am considering removing it as normal and welding on new steel and nuts and welding it back in. Any suggestions??

You'll have to repair your originals or get some used ones. I have not seen a repro on this piece. Kevin

I had the same problem on the passenger side around the front lip area. I had to cut out the rusted spot and weld in some new metal. Coated the area between the floor pan and the seat platform with POR15 first. EBAY had a used pair in good shape awhile ago, onlty ones I've seen in over a year. If anyone started making repos they could make a fortune.....

I don't know where you live but give this guy a call, he has alot of camaro bodies. In fact he usually brings one to the major swap meets and lets people remove the parts they need. His name is Rick and he's from NY. here's the numbers: Day 914-278-9045 night 203 746-7391. If you live down south call Jimmy's bowtie supply (TN), I don't have his # but do a search and you should find his website.

Thanks for the advice. I got the car from the second person that was working on it. The floor pans are unsalvagable and they SOLDERED ELECTRICAL BOX DOORS IN THE FLOORS....WITH BRASS... Anyway, other than the floor issue the car is complete. I only gave 1k for it. If you go to www.creeksideclassics.com (http://www.creeksideclassics.com) you can see loads of pics of before and as it is now pics.
