Hello All,

I saw a decent reasonably priced 1971 Camaro for sale. I know T-tops were not offered until 1978. The car has a black vinyl top on it and the t-tops look nicely done. But still a 1971 RS Camaro with T-Tops??? and the black vinyl top still there...Now that is weird!! Or as they say that is Unique!!

What do you guys think of T-Tops on a 1971 Camaro? Personally I don't care for them although the frame was re-enforced with weld in sub frame connectors.

Any and all comments are welcome.

Thanks!!

That's better then a 2nd gen. convertible. Really with any car, its what YOU want.

many early 2nd gens got the t-top treatment in the late 70's

a vinyl roof was a fairly popular factory option

personally I view one as an abortion, but that is my view

I don't like automatics either, so each person has their own preferences

the roof needs to be reinforced ala the factory way, not just subframe connectors

I would stay away from this one, but i don't like:

t-tops

vinyl roofs

What do you guys think of T-Tops on a 1971 Camaro? I think it ruins a perfectly good roof. Nothing personal to the owner.

I'd personally have a 80-90% reduction in the sale price...Pro-Street, sunroofs, T-tops and 2.5L engine are among the worst things to ever happen to a Camaro.

I love my t-tops on my IROC but it came that way, i dont know if i would trust a done at home job. just because it looks good dosent mean it was done well and if you roll over just looking good wont cut it.
