Pretty sure this is a dumb question but I was wondering if anybody has put in a newer Allison from a newer Chevy pickup? I have a T-56 in mine now and its cool but being auto would be great, especially if I could get the new Allison 6spd.

It is a bit portly, but the transmission CPU is internal so all you have do is feed it info. Trouble of course is how? TPS is no biggie, as is a MAP, but I don't no if it needs any other inputs (RPM, timing control).

From what I understand the Allison is a stand alone transmission using its own cpu. I know its a good size tranny but if it would work I would break out the plazma cutter and put a new larger tunnel in it.
