I just finished restoring my factory original center console and have a question. I am planning to use a B/M Z gate ( I love these simple shifters, and have always used them) in my installation. Today, after fitting and measuring, I now know the Zgate will not work with the factory indicator plates. I have seen some fabricated plates used with other B/M ****ers, and they generally look pretty good. Has anyone done a Zgate install with the factory console? I have a few ideas that I am going to try, but if anyone has done it, I would like to see what it looked like.

My original 67 had a Z gate in it (no console) and so did my 383 Stroker/TH400 equipped Jeep Wrangler. The Zgate has kinda grown on me.

Any ideas? :)
