I have a 97 ss. i had four original zr1 wheels until i wrecked on the highway and blew out a tire, destroying the lip on one of my rear wheels. I tried buying a replica zr1 wheel to replace it but was told by the company that replica wheels are noticeably different. I am considering buying two replicas and putting them on the back so there is no problems with weight or balance. i do not want to have one odd wheel. as for the different look, i intent to paint all four wheels black and leave the lip silver. i am hoping this will mask any differences between the front and back because i cannot find originals and cannot afford four new replicas.

the difference is subtle (the spokes are more "square" than the OEM wheels

painted black you will not tell easily, go for one wheel

Have you tried A&A or AAA Wheels?? Whatever their name is??

And out east in PA or someplace there is a "Wheel Dr." or whatever too that advertises that they can repair stock rims to new if you want to search for them?

the physical difference may be subtle, but what about weight. won't one wheel that is lighter or heavier throw things off?
