Gotta give click the credit for the method.. thanks buddy..it came out real nice..

red ScotchBrite pad, soap and water, Ace hardware Chrome metallic spraycan...
My rear harness is in shambles, so I did not fire it up yet..
but I see how this will really brighten up the tails!

Quick gasket question....
What should I use to secure the gasket to the bucket assy (and taillight bezel)

WOW that turned out great :) I didnt realize the 67's were steel buckets, mine were plastic... hope the paint sticks as well on them as mine did. Good job..
I didnt use anything on the gasket, it was so thick I just bolted it in place tight and it was good to go.

Couldn't the metal bucket just be cleaned and polished to a nice shine?

thanks guys...really happy with the outcome..

fishin - Probably could have polished it out as well..dremel, mothers....not a bad idea..

Jim - so far so good with the paint adhering..

I have to get to my replacement rear harness and plug these puppies in...

That looks Great!
When I redid mine I used a Gloss White instead of the Chrome Silver. Great reflectivity but I think yours will be brighter in comparison.

In Jim's defense, I think 67 and 68 buckets were the same, so technically he is correct...I do recall seeing 67 date stamp on these pieces..but then again, not really sure of the history of this car

I'll post up some other progress pictures soon...been busy over the last few months with is car, but havent been posting here much..gotta change that ;)

Well some 68s would have been built and sold in 67.

But they would still be 68's. :D

Looks great, my only question is what is the correct finish on the back side suppose to be? Natural?

Hey Chris - not sure of the back side finish...cant go wrong with natural.
I maaay tone down the back side if it is too bright after installation.

sidenote - accident pics - ugh...glad it is back in order...!
