Can you imagine how big of a target that guy would be to thieves? Guys just popping off a few goodies, or the 'big time' guys that steal entire cars. Esp a semi trailer full of cars...maybe kinda easy to haul away (?)

The Yenko.net thread has some good reading in it:

we hashed that from top to bottom in here last winter when the info. and website first hit the market. Some very nice cars and parts there for sure. I never heard who bought it all :(
The write up is pretty good... and I'm sure they waited until a lot of the stuff was alrealy gone to publish it.
Pretty much the bottom line is that a friend of the family bought almost the whole lot for a "mid-six-figure" amount. He then kept a few things for himself and sold the rest for " half-as-much" to a guy on the East coast who is preparing it all for his purposes. I'm sure some other web sites have more info, but it was a nice story with photos from when they first opened the trailers... guy was definitely car-crazy!
Good reading,

The guy was so scared of thieves he backed the trailers door to door and flattened the tires. In some cases welded them shut. Two of the vettes were kept by his nephews but i would of went for the yenko.

Larry.. the owner basically agreed on a price to sell all that stuff to a lot of people...he agreed in principal with me..agreed on a price with a friend of Danny's from this forum.. and agreed in principal with another Bay Area collector. Fortunatley I found out before I flew to Green Bay in the dead of winter that he had a lot of people thinking they had a deal..the others did not. Nice guy who had all the stuff but he was not entirely straight with a lot of people who thought they had the lot bought.
