Has anyone put an updated stereo system in a 69 convertible I am having one done now and need a good place to put some nice rear speakers. 6X9's would be ok but would prefer an 8" woofer somewhere. Also I noticed kick panel speakers are available for 67 and 68s can you also get these panels for 69's. Is there enough room to put speakers in the side panels in the back?

What I did was not right but it worked... I bought a fold down read seat and frenched in two 6x9s between the power top motor. They sound great when the seat is down.

Searching the convertible forum will give you plenty of information. Rear speakers is a hot topic and there are many posts and pics. There are a few ways to get sound in the back of a vert.
