My 66 Chevelle getting repainted in a week. I'm going with a color very close to the original Artesian Turquoise. The color I chose is a metallic color, but I'm looking for a little more "pop" or
flash without looking like a modern rice car. Would I be better off adding some silver pearl to the clear or going to the next step courser metallic. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Personal;y, the courser met. You wouldn't likely be adding pearl to the clear, you would be adding a "Mid coat" with pearl in a "colorless basecoat" then clearing over that. You can add pearl to the clear, but that is not usually how it is done. You need to put straight clear over the pearl to protect it.

But without a doubt, what ever you do, SPRAY OUT A GOOD TEST PANEL to be POSITIVE it is the color you want, BEFORE you start spraying it on your car. smile.gif
