I Have had a good experience with them. I sent what they ask for. Waited, and about 3 months later I got all the paperwork I needed to get my clear title. I would use them again.

I used them ten years ago to get titles for several Cobras I built and for my tube-frame Grand Sport; they don't get you a title, they get you an Alabama "tax receipt" showing that they've sold you the car (Alabama didn't issue titles on cars built before 1984). Then you take that to your DMV to register the car and get a title issued. Most states are onto that now, and many of them no longer recognize a "tax receipt" from Alabama as a legitimate legal document for transferring ownership of a car, especially if it shows an Alabama "title company" as the seller. That's what triggered the tax raids on the California shops like Boyd's last year.
:beers:

I spoke to a woman at the tag office today and she told me that the State
of Georgia does not issue titles to vehicles that do not already have a title. Can anyone confirm this?

thats true Brett the state of Georgia does NOT issue a title to vehicle thats does not already have a title. But you CAN get it insured and tagged in the state with just a bill of sale ,,Frank

I spoke with the State DMV today and they said you must have the vehicle already titled in GA to get a title. The car came from Texas so how can Broadway get one?

They cant get you one. All they provide is a tag receipt and then in some states you can get a title for it, but not in Ga.

Note: There are about 10 states that will no longer accept licence receipt paperwork from "title" companies in Alabama if you are a resident of any those listed states and trying to get paperwork/license receipt for a car you already own from the State of Alabama.

This is listed on Broadway Titles website, READ IT CAREFULLY. Kentucky is an example of a state where Broadway Title or any other Alabama title company cannot help you. This has to do with the fact that you are selling a car to the dealer/title company in Alabama and they are selling the car back to you. In reality you are creating a deal to create paperwork. All you have to do is swear to the fact that you truly own the car involved in this transaction. I am sure nobody has ever lied in this process. I do not know how the state DMV will know other than the fact these listed states are aware of the selling dealers that are used by the title companies. They certainly cannot deny you registration of a car you purchase from an individual living in Alabama or a licensed Alabama car dealer not associated with any title company.

The title companies can provide you with the information as to whether than can or cannot help you depending on your state of residence.
