ok i have removed the old filler panel and fit the new one. now the question is should i drill the spot weld holes in the new filler panel along the back glass or weld it from the bottom. how about along the weatherstrip channel?

When I did mine I drilled the filler panel and welded from the top on both the window seating area and the trunk gutter. I had no issues and it worked well. Personally I would recommend not welding from within the trunk as it is rough by the time you fit in there with the helmet its rough to get anything done. Unless you hire a skilled youngster LOL
Also question for you... what headers are you using iam in the middle of the same swap.
