I posted a question yesterday and got some great responses. Can anyone give me the standard measurement from the surface of the engine block to the outside of the harmonic balancer on a standard 350? Mine measures exactly 3" from the block (along side the timing cover) to the flat surface of the balancer where the pulley would bolt to. Thanks. I'll feel pretty stupid if the balancer really is on all the way.

I just went in the gararge and measured my 350 on the stand. Looking at the front of the engine and measureing to the right of the balancer (I have no PS pump on)on the flat part of the block to the top of the balancer I got 3" also. You should be good. My pulleys line up.
