I have read all archived posts on this issue and still need some clarification. I have a low mileage 67 Camaro with a 210HP version of the 327. The car is all original including water pump, alternator, distributor, cap & wires,starter etc. Unfortunately, the only missing piece is the original 2bbl air cleaner assembly . Does anyone know if any of the GM cars with a 67 small block 2 barrel will have the same 2 bbl air cleaner base? If Nova's and Chevelle's will work it will assist me in my search for a 2 bbl air cleaner. From gathering as much info as possible ,I do realize that the piece will have a single snorkel (drivers side) with no thermostatic or smog controls. Any help would be appreciated.

Billy, I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure Chevelles and Novas would have the same air cleaner. You are correct in your description of what you are looking for (with regard to the snorkel). These are getting harder and harder to find at junk yards, but hey, you might get lucky. Have you tried e-bay? Search for "chevy air cleaners" and you'll get a bunch of hits. Just look at the photos til you find the right one. Check once every few days and I bet one will show up before long. Good Luck!

Does your car have a smog pump? Correct me if I am wrong guys, but doesn't the A.I.R. air cleaner base have two hoses out the bottom and the one without smog only have one?

If you need the one with two hoses out the bottom, I can help you.

In his original post, he states "no thermostatic or smog controls".

Thanks for replying. No the car does not have any smog control. Did any of the Norwood built cars have smog control? Anyway I hope I did not assume incorrectly that the non smog 67 cars do not have any thermostatic control, heat riser or pcv/vaccuum porting!
