I was thinking about buying a 2500 stall. I haven't had my car out much since my engine build (and I had to change the motor mounts because of engine flex) so now that everything is in order, I tried to get a estimate of my current stall speed of the converter by putting my foot on the brake and slowly rising the RPMs until I got tire slippage. Now I know that the accurate way is to have a trans brake but this "brake torque" method can at least tell you your minimum stall... The tires did not start slipping until 2200. I've read that with this "brake torque" method, you never reach the actual stall when there is tire slippage. So if the tiress are slipping at 2200 then dont I have a larger stall than 2200?
Maybe I already have a 2400-2500 stall.
