I have the chance to buy an original 68 camaro ac compressor that was in working order when last used, however the sticker was replaced when the unit was painted. Does the compressor have a date code and where is it located? Also what would a fair value be assuming I would have it rebuilt?
Like a dummy I turned mine in for a core charge 20 years ago and now my priorities have changed

Date code is on the sticker. There may be casting date codes on parts like the compressor head.
