I'm considering dropping my gas tank to look for a build sheet. It's a Norwood car... i know but, underneath the car with a light and a mirror, I can see something on top of the tank and it looks like paper, but so far under I can't make it out. Has anyone dropped their tank to find some sort of factory insulator on top of the tank. I see in the assembly manual, page 126, a part # 3863930. Has anyone seen this insulator, and if so what's it made of. Thanks, Bill Garrett

Dont bother, the sheets on the gas tank are found in Van Nuys cars only.
I found mine there and it was on the front corner, drivers side. There are 2 strips of black tar type paded paper and one strip of black tape to hold the wire in place for the sending unit.

If i was seening something there, I would take the time to drop the tank and see what it was,not disputing Jonesy, but i have found norwood body broadcast sheets in a few different places, mostly in the car, under seat in the springs, behind the headliner, drivers kick panel, Its only a few bolts too see whats there, Frank

Thanks for the replys guys. Jonesy, I don't know you but ,have been reading your posts forever and I greatly respect your opinion. You may be able to say I told you so later but , my curiosity may get the better of me. If I have time and look I'll let you know what I find, (if anything)!
