View Full Version : Rocker Work Continues

My Son and I got a little more time to work on the driver side outer rocker. Here's a couple more pics of our progress.

In the one you'll notice the bottom door jamb section cutout clamped in place. The original was rusted out. We'll probably weld it in after the inner rockers in (soon I hope).
My Son Jeff's doing all the welding. He's getting better with every weld. It's our first attempt at this so if anyone sees anything we could/should be doing differently, please post a reply.
BTW, that combination self-etching/weld-thru primer works great.

Sorry again. I didn't have the settings right for public viewing. There are now 2 albums, the latest showing our last work.

Wow! A lot of work ahead of you, but what a great father/son project! I hope that when I have kids they are interested in working on cars with me!

Are those the full convertible rockers you are using? - Ok i see your car is a coupe. The first set of pictures it looked like it may have been a convertible . I was afraid i was going to have to give you some bad news because you cant use coupe rockers in a convertible, the rockers are different. Looks good!
