Any one know if a TH400 crossmember will work for converting a 1971 Camaro from Th350 to 200R4? I thought I heard it will work, but wanted to find out before acquiring the x-member.
1971 Camaro RS/SS, all original. Pulling the original motor and setting aside, dropping in a 383 and changing rear to 3.73.

I think that the 200 4R uses the same cross member as the TH350. The 700 R4 has the mount located fartherback, but I think the 200 4R has it in the same location as the TH350, but I could be wrong. I'm a rear end guy, not a transmission guy.

The 2004R has the same overall length and yoke as the TH350, but has the trans mount in the TH400 location.
Use the TH400 crossmember and mount, bolts right up in that car.

Well, seems like I can learn a few things about transmissions.
