Pocker,
My car was built just five days before yours but I have body number 103, I was told that 103= FISHER BODY CODE(103rd convertible with deluxe interior built in Van Nuys). I am just wondering about the body numbers, my car was built first but has a larger body number, if the above is correct I guess yours could be the 99th convertible with standard interior. Maybe someone else can chime in on the body numbers. Also we will need the VIN to know if it was originally a V8, can't tell which 327 without the original engine, some others may be able to tell you some clues to look for though. Post some pictures of the car, VIN, and Cowl tag for the records and for our enjoyment. Sounds like a cool lookin car.

Jerry,
David's car is a STD interior convertible and yours is a deluxe interior convertible. Since both of your cars were built in the LOS plant, you can't compare the body numbers and try to make any sense if them. If your cars were both STD or both deluxe interior convertibles, then you would be able to. Here is link that may help enplane it more: http://www.camaros.org/bodynumbering.shtml
