I really like the look of the painted wheels and dog dish hubcaps for an "all business" look, and wanted to try this setup on my 68 SS396-
Does anyone know where these wheels can be found? They are not rallys are they? I do not see holes in the ones I have seen in pics-
I know the Hubcaps are available repro, but does anyone know of a wheel that is available, or a wheel perhaps from another car/truck that are identical?
I'd like to have 15X7's for my Redline tires-

Thanks all!!!

A friend did this years back with his COPO clown.

'70-'77 Monte Carlos used a 15 x 7 standard wheel suitable for hub caps. May find some in a junkyard but that's getting a bit old.

William, Thanks, that's good info, I'm hoping someone will chime in with a repro source, or a set for sale!
I have been scouring looking for them, and Wheel Vintiques has a few wheels that are close, but no cigar-
I sure like this look, this is a link to the car that inspired my search... I think this is very sharp-
It's almost identical to my car...

I was looking for a spare for my Base Coupe. I have the steel wheels with hub caps. Put a want add in the classifieds and you'll get a hit or two. If you have disk brakes make sure the wheels will fit. As far as I know there is a difference.
You can also look on E-Pay, folks are always selling wheels and Dog dishes there.

The original dog dish caps to the best of my knowledge are not available in reproduction. The ones that are available in aftermarket are a different type. You can buy the OE type pictured on the Bronze 68 on ebay and have them refinished. The Wheel Vintiques 62 series (I THINK) are close enough in design and since the originals were 14 inch you can buy them in 15 inch and get the width/offset you want. Just my 2 cents.

I purchased mine from wheel vintiques and they worked out fine with the original caps and 4 wheel disc brakes.I'm unable to locate my sales slip however i don't think they were quite as wide as the originalsn however i think they were 7 wide. I did go with the 15's and Goodyear raised lettered polyglass F70-15 tires. i can e mail you a photo if wanted. never been able to figure out how to post pics on this site.

Dennis, I'd love to see a photo or 2 of those wheels, send it to:

Also, do you know which Wheel Vintique model you have?
I looked at their site and did not see anything, but there are quite a few wheels on there, so maybe I missed them??

Thanks,

JW

Look at the 62 series in the steel section.
