View Full Version : flywheel and fan part numbers maizedog Jun 25th, 06, 08:51 PM When I bought my car I found the correct fan and flywheel in the trunk. I found all of the Z28 parts on the engine except the block , carb, and heads. I will list the casting/part numbers on the flywheel and fan to see if anyone can help me ID these. Fan: 19", 7 blade, 3901431 and under this number is 914692L73. Flywheel: 3789733, L216, 11" diam. Not 100% on the casting number. Any help would be appreciated. Not 100% on the casting number. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Greg The 1969 Z-28 used a 10.4" clutch, I believe the flywheel is about 12.5" across. There were two possible fans as I understand it. Both had 7 blades, each blade attached with 4 rivets. One had a xxxx772 part #, the other is not stamped to my knowledge. Thats why I thought I would try to clarify my post. I am just trying to figure out what else the previous owner was into. I know he roadraced a 68 Camaro and my car had a couple of roadrace mods to correct. I think the flywheel is a big block part but don't know the application. Was real curious about the fan.
