I am just getting around to inspecting my wind shield moldings on my 67' conv. and they have the usual problems. They have a few small dings, scratches etc.. Has anyone used the repop moldings?.. Did they fit and look correct?.. I iether need to have these corrected or get new ones, I never realized that a really great paint job would have this trickle down effect. Alot of the stuff I thought I could use just looks like crap when it gets near the car. Thanks for any help or advice!!....

I bought some repops (front windshield) from Classic and they looked like crap. The 2 sides and top were fine but the 2 lower bottoms were terrible. I found some decent originals and had them polished. What a difference in apperance.

Yeah, I am really afraid of anything repop... John got a decent set so I may try it once. If there is any problem then I will get mine restored. I will post my experience...

I had mine polished and the dings taken out for less than what repops would cost and of course the fit and look great. I highly recommend:

I'm with John! I have seen too many here complaining about the fit of repro trim (my favorite saying, and I don't recall which particular piece it related to, was that it "fit like socks on a rooster.").
Metal Brite charges approx. $12 per foot to work out dings and polish. All of my pieces for my vert (including the A-pillar trim and pinchweld molding that coupes don't have) are at Mike's right now, and it's going to cost $400 or so for parts I know will be up to the quality of the rest of the car.
He knows John, and he will take good care of you.
