I have a newer 3-wire alternator on my 350. Anyway I wanted to order a Chrome 1-wire setup. Is there any way to tell the Amperage of my current alternator so I can get the same rating??

Thanks
Chris

Unless it was glass-beaded off before chroming, the number should be stamped on the rear housing. Look for "XXA" stamp.

Chris, Usually the amp rating is stamped in the casing somewhere on the alternator. If it's a three wire alternator, then chances are that it is rated around 63 amps for a regular non-loaded car.
