How can I find out what my rear gears? I am sure that they are stock, its in a 67 10 bolt NON posi

count how many revolutions the driveshaft makes per 1 revolution of wheel.

count how many revolutions the driveshaft makes per 1 revolution of wheel.

That would be 1 revolution of each wheel or 2 revolutions of one wheel.

If it's a tick over or right at 3 revs it's probably a 3.08 if a little less than 3 it's most likely a 2.73.

You can also give us the rear axle code that is stamped into the front of the right axle tube and we'll be able to tell you what gears were originally in the rear. Which will only help if they haven't been changed.

If you have a tach and an accurate speedo, you can post up your mph @ XXXX rpm in drive and tell us your rear tire size. There are serveral sites with these calculators on them to figure it out.
