I am swapping my 327 for a 350 and had to buy a 350 power steering bracket to fit the 8 inch balancer. My problem is the pulley I have is the 2 piece kind. Alternater-space-power steering. The alternator pulley goes flush with the balancer and lines up. The power steering pulley is almost a 1/2 inch out of line for the PS pump. I need to bring the PS pulley out 1/2 inch. Would it be ok if I shimmed between the 2 pulleys with some washers? I put 4 washers between and now it lines up. The balancer bolt will not go on now so I will buy a grade 8 bolt 1/2 inch longer to hold it all together. Think I'll have a problem? Theres nothing I can do about the PS bracket so this would be my only option.
