Hi Guys,

All thanks in advance. Recently purchased a 67 RS Convertible, I have owned two 69's previsouly. I noticed only with the car running from the center dash/radio area its sounds like a small fan or motor is running.

Its very low volume, can't hear when I drive around with top down. But not sure if this is normal or not. Dont remember that noise on my 69s...

Any thoughts?

I have a 69 I just bought. I hear the same thing. When I turn on the key I hear a faint fan slowly spin up. I have not had a chance to check it out but hope it is not the heater fan. Much too warm to have the heater running!

I will be checking it out this weekend. Will post back my findings.

I also have 4 days off will do some digging around and see what I find...

It does sound like the heater fan, but cables don't make any change in the noise.

Will post followup...

Mine turned out to be the heater fan. No wonder it was soooooo hot in there :) . The heater control did nothing to stop it either. For the time being I just pulled out the fuse. I may wait till winter to pop it back in. My nephew put new controls on it for me so something may have gone haywire.

Some day I may look into it further but for now removing the fuse is good enough for me!

That's what I was thinking... None of my heat controls work, something must be a little goofy... I was too busy cruisin around with the top down to dig too deep...
