I'm getting ready to replace my rear springs on my 69 coupe.I have a 10bolt rear end with mono leaf springs.I want to replace the rear springs with a multi 4 leaf spring.(I will need to have the mono to multi conversion) I am going to use a 15x8-15 with 4.5 bs corvette rallye wheel, and a 275/60-15 tire.
Now I called Eaton spring and they are very helpful,But they want to know if I want the spring @ stock height or +- spring height.I have no Idea what to tell them.I don't know if a 275x15-60 tire will fit at stock height or will it need to be re-arched.the Eaton people said that the stock height could be adjusted 1-3 inches from stock height.I don't want the 4x4 look but I want the tires not to rub the wheel well.Has anyone used this combo of Eaton 4 leaf springs(or 5 leaf) and 275x15-60 tire,@ stock height or 1-3 adjustment?
Thanks for your thoughts,comments. Dan
