Hello!

Is dash pads available for 1969 camaro as nos / gm ? Or are there only repros now? Is there a noticable difference between them?

So far as I know only available as repros. Not sure if 69 dash pad repros are as quirky as 67 & 68, but I've been told it is better to recover your original pad if you want a perfect fit.

My orginal just gave out ,, buckled bad from under neath, looked like it was trying to snarl ... I went to OER brand,, didnt have the birthmark but it did fit. At least its not snarling. Course what do you expect fro 35 year old dash pad .

Unless you have some serious deep pockets for a NOS dashpad (cheapest I've seen lately was around $800) then OER seems to be the best bet. The only real complaint I had with it was it was slightly smaller (length) so more of the metal dash showed on the sides by the pillar moldings. Just need to make sure you dash is painted there and it will look fine.

If your original dash pad is worth salvaging try the folks at Just Dashes. Here is a link to their site www.justdashes.com They do amazing work.

Just Dashes will NOT do a 69 Dash.
They warranty their work and the dash will warp so they won't even do them any longer.
NOS ones are around $3000 or so if you can find one.
You can tell the difference in a NOS and a repo... there is a flat spot on the originals.

I'd buy them all day at $800. I think you can double that for what the going price is. I have an NOS and a repo and I was going to take pics of each so you can see the difference. The repo isnt that bad. It fits decent but the ends are definately different than NOS.

I bought one on ebay a couple years back for $900, I just went to put it in and found out it is for an A/C car and wont work on mine. For once maybe a mistake I made will benefit me as the dash should bring decent money on ebay. It is a old enough one that doesnt have the flat spot in it that the later GM NOS ones have. I think my dash if from the 70's NOS.

ANyway, I just put a repo on for now.

Max, you are correct about the ends, but not that bad.

Well boys I almost hate to post this but, there is one on ebay now that the guy says is genuine GM and NOS. Item #330002410353. He says he's had it for quite awhile and sold the car. It for a AC car, and it's black. It's at $140.00. The reason I hate to post this is because I also need one, but what the hell, lets have some fun with it. If it is NOS, I don't think he knows what he has as there is no reserve.

Thanks everyone!! Great to know at OER would be the second best. It big pain to get the right parts from repro market.

The pad on ebay is an A/C pad. It also looks like the material underneath is broke off on each end which is a common problem with the orig pads. I have an A/C pad, so if some has a non A/c pad thats NOS, I'll trade.

How did you knew i was looking for it?! Ok good to know it is not worth to pay double than repros cost.
