I'm about to undertake a mini tubbing project of my own soon...but just want to double check because I wasn't aware until now that the frame rail might need to be cut into to make room for 335/30/18 wheels. I dont want a roll cage by any means. Is a mini tubbed 67 F-body worth doing??

WILL 335/30/18'S LOOK COOL  ON A CONVERTIBLE??

I have to replace the inner/outter wheel well and trunk regardless due to heavy rust holes and pitting. tHANKS, c.

hey, for sure why wouldn't a rag top look good with some huge tires out back, , you are going to have to move your springs in board a bit to fit them but it will look awesome, check out www.detroitspeed.com (http://www.detroitspeed.com)

I'm just thinking that a convertible obviously does not have the most frame stability in the world. I'm running sub frame connectors and it comes witha factory x-brace but cutting into the frame rail makes me a little nervous being that its convertible. Also, the back seat area is a little different then a coupe and appears a little tougher to work around when replacing the inner wheel panel.

I didnt notice any convertible mini-tub projects on DSE either.

Thanks, Chris
