This is what the power steering pulley I just bought looks like. Do you guys think I should paint it for a correct finish or is it good the way it is? It seems to have almost a purple tint to it.

Your choice but the correct finish for pulleys is 60% gloss black.
VHT's "GM Satin Black" is a good paint with around 60% gloss (-so VHT have told me).
Personally, I don't think a pulley with a purple tint would look real nice..
