I have a 67 camaro w/the 8.2 rear end mono leaf springs. I plan on adding multi-leaf springs. My question on this is, which size axle U-bolts do i need? I have heard anything from 3", 3-1/2", to 4"...Also, will adding 2, U-Bolts per side on the 8.2 work? I plan on changing (Down the road) the rear axle to a 8.5 or a 12 bolt.

Thanks in Advance for any help...

I think they are either 7/16" or 1/2" dia round stock, 3.00" - 3.25" pipe size jobbers! (Sorry, I forget?)

And more than likely too long such that if you want, you can trim them to finish length.

Take a shock plate to a GOOD parts place and ask them to fix you up is the way I did this more years ago than I want to remember OR take them off a "pic-a-part" yard car for not much money at all.

Sorry, I feel that I haven't been much help at all here...........

Come on guys, jump in here!!

1/2" is too big. I am returning one I bought over the weekend. Got the correct one from NPD. We ran into problems with SFCs but the multi-leaf springs dropped right in.
