I finished painting my floor this weekend, after the 'mothers' were taken care of, I cooked up KFC for supper :D
Next comes the insulation sheets on the floor, carpet, dash and seats. Funny how quickly things go back together when they are all clean and painted and fixed up.
Also ready to put rear bumper back on, are there any kind of gaskets used between brackets and painted body? Id think at least an inner tube piece of rubber would keep it from scratching either side and rusting someday. Anyone ever do that?

Jim, I'm holding you to the line "Funny how quickly things go back together when they are all clean and painted and fixed up." I'm counting on that!
I'm looking at your back seat floors. They're dented up from underneath. Is that from subframe connectors? The factory shape of the pans has quite a low spot to make any water run towards the drains so I'm sure I'm gonna have to massage the pans to make them fit. Is that why yours look that way?

beesker, yes floor insulation is next, its called Death Mat I think, I have it in a box waiting now. It was about $130 for 100 s.f. and is foil on top, rubber then a pull off plastic cover sheet. Its very thin, maybe 1/16 but very flexible to the contours of the floor. I saw it on a guys car in here and got the info. from him for ordering in Tennessee. pic is below of his car, sweet install.
Joe, the floors were badly dented from inside for some reason. I had to pump them up with a floor jack from underneath with a 2x4 to push up more into place. I will step on them now that they are painted and push them back down a little bit. Not sure if someone dented them from under on a curb and pushed back to far or what. Good eye tho. I did fuss with that a little. No sub frames on it that I can detect ever.

I should have mentioned it was brushed on with the cheap foam brush. When done, I just hold the brush head in my plastic gloved hand and roll the wrist down over the brush and slide the whole thing off and into a steel coffee can to dry out.
Thanks guys. graemlins/beers.gif
