I am sure that many of you have got, or have had, a squeeking noise coming from the convertible frame as it shakes back and forth when driving. I guess it all comes from worn out bushings and years of use/abuse.

But - How do I get rid of it? Are there bushing kits that I can buy to replace the old ones? Any of you ever tried changing? What was the result like?
How hard was it to replace the old ones?

Have you tried lubricating it? I'd think a few drops of oil at each joint should quiet it down quite a bit.

Hi BPOS,

Yes I have. I tried spraying WD40 in all the joints but there is still this irritating squeeking noice as soon as the top is up. Next step is try a thicker lubricant (e.g mineral oil)

Good idea. WD-40 isn't much of a lubricant. Motor oil in a drip can would work. Some of the squeaking could also be the weatherstripping rubbing in various places. Try treating it with Armorall or similar.

Will do.
Thanks a lot for your help.
